Shin-hee Chin will share her creative process- from the first spark of inspiration to the final stitch. Using Beethoven’s Symphonies 1-9 as inspiration, she will describe her ten year process of transforming this source to multiple landscape quilts. This lecture blends technique insight with personal storytelling. Shin-hee will explore what creative freedom means to her and how it evolves into intentionality, adaptability and a strong personal voice. She extensively uses the design principle of “repetition with variation” to bring rhythm and unity to her compositions.
