About the event


Amanda Richardson is an artist, internationally acclaimed for her richly colored textile collages. Her art reflects her passion for the landscape; sea, cliffs, rocks and plants.


A graduate of Goldsmiths College, University of London, Amanda pioneered a technique using hand dyed fabrics such as silks, satins and velvets, to create dynamic artworks that respond to variations in light, creating a continuingly fresh experience for the viewer. She has been commissioned to create artworks for a multitude of public spaces, from a towering collage in the foyer of the Waldorf Astoria in Florida, to large works at Boeing headquarters, Universities in Alaska and Washington, to entrances of major banks, and corporate offices.


In this lecture, Amanda will share with you the exciting landscapes of East Cornwall, England that inspire her work. She lives on three acres of wooded areas and ocean cliffs. She is fascinated by the details of these landscapes,…
