HANDSTITCHING GROUP
About Our Group
The Handstitching Group provides the space to inspire each other, to share ideas, materials, sources and techniques and, of course, to stitch.
This group brings together fiber artists from all disciplines who stitch by hand in their practices. Some members work solely by hand, others combine it with machine stitching or use handstitching to embellish wearables, quilts, etc.
The group’s purpose is to share, inspire and energize each other in the art of handstitching. Since many of our projects are portable, we bring them to our meetings to work while socializing with others.
Handstitching meets the third Friday of every month, from 10:00 am to noon. Currently we meet at the West Linn Library in the Community Room (off the lobby entrance), 1595 Burns Street, West Linn.
Contact our facilitators, Terri Wanke (terri.wanke@yahoo.com) and Nanci Tangeman (nanci@nancitangeman.com), for more information. The group also has a private Facebook group to communicate between meetings. Request membership to the Facebook group at this link.
